                        US Army Health Clinic – Kaiserslautern

Soldier Medical Readiness Center (SMRC).  The SMRC is located within the health clinic.  It provides pre/post deployment Medical Readiness support to all KMC Army units.  Contact the SMRC OIC, MAJ Oliphant, to schedule unit medical readiness missions for greater than 5 Soldiers.

The 435 Medical Group maintains a clinic on the south side of Ramstein Air Base. Although many specialties are available at Ramstein, all in-patient care is provided at nearby Landstuhl Regional Medical Center (LRMC) less than 15 min away).

                        Educational, Developmental, Intervention Services (EDIS)

Public Law 102-119 directed the Department of Defense (DoD) to provide services to eligible children in accordance with the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA).  Educational and Developmental Intervention Services (EDIS) was established to implement specific portions of IDEA.  It delivers Early Intervention Services (EIS) to eligible infants and toddlers in domestic and overseas areas, and Medically Related Services (MRS) to school age children in special education programs in DoD schools overseas.

Outdoor Recreation Center

The Outdoor Recreation Center can supply camping, picnic and backpacking equipment, downhill and cross-country skis, auto carrying devices and various winter items throughout the year. Annual events include a sanctioned Volksmarsch and a family bike rally. Water sports, skiing, bicycling, canoe trips, horseback riding, rock climbing and castle hikes are a few of the other programs available.

Youth Services

Youth Services operates a sports and fitness program for organized seasonal sports such as football, soccer, baseball, softball, basketball, swimming and cheerleading. The Ramstein-Vogelweh-Sembach Youth Activities Program is the largest in Europe, offering sports, dances, tours, birthday parties, games, tournaments and crafts.
